Help Indiepocalypse Patron Drive

Andrew/PIZZA PRANKS of Indiepocalypse is announcing their first ever Patron Drive! Indiepocalypse is a zine/game anthology you probably never heard of. Every month, Andrew would package ten indie games along with a zine so you can play the weirdest, varied, most unmarketable games in this corner of the internet. They're loud. They're personal. They're vague. They make you think you can also try your hands on this "game" thing. Can't say it better than the official intro. Best of all? It has been going on for quite some time, so you have large number of quirky things to peruse. I've played many little things I wouldn't have encountered otherwise (many of the games are bite-sized, perfect for lunchbreaks!).

But that's not all. See, most of the games in the anthology are actually available for free (there's one exclusively commissioned game per issue) and the Indiepocalypse page links to them all. Basically, Indiepocalypse is helping indie devs be a little bit more discoverable. And contributors are paid. In advance. I can't stress how crazy this whole thing sounds, and how much I respect Andrew for keeping the lights on for 70 whole issues. Let me reiterate. You can get most of the games for free if you can't pay, but when you pay almost all the money goes back to the creators. Indiepocalypse paid for my groceries when I was lucky enough to be featured in the June issue. On top of it, Andrew also runs a freely accessible podcast series where he gives spot to Indiepocalypse contributors to hang out and talk.

Participating in the Patron Drive means helping smaller teams/individuals. It means opening up a space for games that are on the fringe of "gaming".

Or just check out a couple issues.

They are pretty cool.
